  Canva for Photographers with Jen Alvi Join us for an incredible two-day Canva Masterclass the with Jen Alvi!  The class will be held October 20 - 21, 2025 from 10am - 5pm each day at the Daybreak Community Center Monday, October 20th  The first day will be focused on learning about the numerous tools in Canva and how they are useful to you. Starting with the basics, we will learn where things are located, what each element can be used for, get everyone’s Brand Kit set up, and have a series of lessons and simple assignments to make sure we reinforce the process. Everyone  will need to have Canva already loaded on their computers (You will need the paid version for much of the learning. You can get a 30-day free trial.)   Tuesday, October 21st  The next day, we will take a deeper dive into some of the more advanced tools. Depending on how quickly we learn the basics on day one, we have the option to learn: Animations & Video Tools – Create animated reels or slideshow-style sneak peeks. Batch and Automation Features Presentations – Record or present live presentation with slides, notes, video or animations Coding Apps – Easy to create apps you can use on your website or as it’s own URL. AI Features – Use text prompts to have help writing a blog post, creating a graphic & more. Advanced Image Editing and Design Come ready to level up your business and have fun doing it!

  About Jen Alvi Jen Alvi has been a portrait photographer since 2011, focusing on families, high school seniors, headshots, and fine art.  She is currently shifting to commissioned fine art portraits for custom-built homes. After many years serving on the board for Professional Photographers of Idaho and also being the CEO of Save the Day Seasonings, Jen has heavily leaned on Canva for saving time creating marketing and printed designs.  Jen also creates a weekly newsletter and a quarterly digital magazine. Jen has been using Canva for 5 years and has created over 1,500 designs!  Now with integrated AI features throughout Canva, the ability to edit photos, videos, and write text will blow your mind! Awards & Credentials World Photographic Cup - 2019 Jen’s image “Left Behind” was one of 18 finalists to represent the US in the World Photographic Cup PPA National Award - 2025 Awarded for meritorious contributions to professional photography. Jen has served for 8 years on the PPI board and is currently serving her 4th year as president.
